My Past Startup Failures:
- I created a "general" startup/entrepreneur online publication called LaunchableMag. I had initial success with creating original content that helped entrepreneurs around the world succeed in their own ventures. I also curated experiences with startup founders (live fireside chats) that gave our readers and greater community a sense of what it takes to build a sustainable company for the long-term. LaunchableMag failed because I was a sol0 founder and the costs to maintain it were greater than any revenue the company was generating.
- Shortly thereafter, I created a sister product called LaunchableLabs. The site was an online platform that connected under-utilized workspaces with individuals, teams and/or companies that needed these workspaces on an on-demand basis. Like LaunchableMag, LaunchableLabs failed because I was a sol0 founder and the costs to keep the platform running outweighed any revenue the company was generating at the two-year mark.
